Welcome to the R-7 Online Academy!

The Lee’s Summit R-7 School District embraces the power of online learning to enhance educational opportunities for students. Since its inception in Fall 2008, R7 Online has expanded significantly. Today, we offer over 80 K-12 courses to Lee’s Summit and eligible Missouri resident students. As a recognized MOCAP provider, our online elementary and high school academies extend statewide access to quality education.

Our educational approach features a progressive meeting structure. Elementary Academy students (Kindergarten through 5th grade) benefit from daily synchronous instruction, while Secondary Academy students engage in both synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences.

All our courses are aligned with the Lee’s Summit R-7 Schools curriculum and delivered by Missouri-certified LSR7 teachers. Utilizing a blend of instructional resources such as print and online texts, video and audio content, and interactive discussion boards, we ensure a comprehensive learning experience. Schoology, our chosen platform, supports seamless delivery and interaction for all courses.
